Zentia is working hard to reduce its impact on the environment as much as possible and help in the journey towards a better future.
Its comprehensive Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report details the company’s ongoing efforts and targets to significantly reduce its environmental impact and support the global drive towards Net Zero by 2050.
In Zentia’s ceiling tile manufacturing process, around 1,400 tonnes of pre-consumer waste is repurposed, sourced from local suppliers. The company has also reviewed its manufacturing process and now incorporates 200 tonnes of pre-consumer egg cartons into its ceiling tiles.
Members of Zentia’s award-winning Pinnacle Partnership Scheme gain access to the off-cut recycling scheme, allowing them to return tile off-cuts to Zentia’s factory in Gateshead. These are then reintroduced into the manufacturing process to create new tiles, promoting a circular economy.
By 2025, Zentia aims for all UK-made products to be covered by single product-level Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). The company has also set a target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2025, supported by £4.5 million investment and various process improvement projects.
