InstallerSHOW announces Building Safety Week 2025 with BSF and CCPI

Following a record-breaking event at the NEC Birmingham in June, InstallerSHOW has announced the launch of Building Safety Week 2025 with partners Building a Safer Future (BSF) and the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI).

A joint initiative with the BSF and CCPI, as well as a host of other industry associations, Building Safety Week will address and solve major issues affecting the whole sector as a result of new legislation from the Building Safety Act.

Culture change

Building Safety Week at InstallerSHOW 2025 aims to create a culture change in how we build – across the supply chain – on any sized project from shed to Shard.

Utilising the UK’s largest gathering of professionals in the sector, Building Safety Week will act as a forum for sharing insight, information and learnings – from BSF champions who have embarked on continuous improvement to the construction sector manufacturers who are delivering clear and concise information on their products.

Nathan Garnett, Business Development Director at Lyrical Communications, said: “We feel that together we can embed a culture of building higher quality buildings, as well as assisting the whole sector, from specifier to installer, when it comes to understanding and abiding by the Building Safety Act. There is an awful lot to do, and collaboration and knowledge sharing is critical. Regular communication with our community of over 500,000 professionals in the coming months, as well as delivering Building Safety Week to 30,000 visitors at InstallerSHOW 2025, will be vital in driving that culture change.”

Amanda Long, Chief Executive, Code for Construction Product Information, added: “The CCPI are really pleased to be supporting Building Safety Week at InstallerSHOW 2025. It will allow us to really focus on how building safety is being prioritised in the industry and specifically on how schemes like the CCPI can really help the sector deliver the standards that it needs to deliver safer buildings. The installer is the key part of the whole process, and we have to be a part of that conversation.”

Louise Wren, Building a Safer Future Lead, commented: “Building Safety Week at InstallerSHOW 2025 will be a focal point for everyone to come together, collaborate and share best practice. BSF Champions are market leaders in continuous improvement, and together we are looking forward to supporting the whole industry by celebrating and sharing that success as part of Building Safety Week.”

Widespread support

“The biggest thing affecting our members at the moment is the Building Safety Act. The new landscape since April takes a lot to understand what it means for those on the ground. It is making people look at the way they procure, how they manage their supply chain, but it also brings the opportunity for innovation, and InstallerSHOW is a great place to do that.”

Iain McIlwee, Chief Executive, Finishes & Interiors Sector

“We are 100% behind Building Safety Week at InstallerSHOW. Building safety requires collaboration and innovation, and what better way to do that than at Building Safety Week at InstallerSHOW 2025.”

Kate Perrin, Barbour ABI

“InstallerSHOW brings together people from different trades and different areas of industry, getting together to discuss topics of interest, because we need collaboration. Any focus on safety is incredibly important, we have so much to do.”

Jon Vanstone, Chair of the Competency Committee at the Building Safety Regulator

“The Building Safety Act is at the heart of everything we do at the STA, and it is vital we take heed of what is happening. Building Safety Week at InstallerSHOW 2025 is a fabulous opportunity to bring everyone together to tell them the story.”

Andrew Carpenter, Chief Executive, Structural Timber Association

“I fully support Building Safety Week, to build a community of the most important people, those that do the work and installation, who are often the least thought about. I support the opportunity to give them ongoing recognition.”

James Talman, Chief Executive, NFRC

“Building Safety Week will be a great way to reinforce the work we have done to become a BSF Champion, to share what Langley have done, and to help others.”

Dean Wincott, Chief Executive, Langley Roofing

Plans are already well under way for Building Safety Week at InstallerSHOW 2025, and the organisers are in discussions with a high volume of stakeholders about their involvement.
